Sons of Padre Pio, Inc. is pleased to announce the rehabilitation of our community outreach center. Located at 158 Lyell Ave., this location will be an essential part of revitalizing our community. We would like to thank our sponsors and community stakeholders who have dedicated their time and resources to the endeavor. Key features that include, a location for planning and organizing annual events that include, but are not limited to the celebration of Padre Pio Day, a Community Bocce Tournament, Pumpkin, Turkey Give-aways and Christmas Tree Lighting. Upon completion, the site will also act as a drop-off destination for community donations and fundraising. Stay tuned for more information.
We are happy to announce our plan to restore a Bocce court to the neighborhood. Adjacent to our outreach center, a Bocce court will be constructed for fundraising. The court will preserve the greenspace that is very scarce in the commercial corridor, but of equal importance, it will allow for the sharing and celebration our proud Italian-American Heritage.
